The Sun Also Sets

There are some very nice sunsets that occur in California from time to time. This happens to be one of them. This one occured on June 26, 2008.

At times it looks great if there are clouds, but in this case, I thought a little haze and more orange did the trick.

In the distance you can see Mugu Rock. Obviously this was taken on the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu.

Siamese Trees

This is actually two trees that seem to be Siamese Trees. They are, if you'll pardon the phrase, "attached at the hip." Or should I say "trunk"?

I thought this tree had a lot of character so I could not help getting several pictures of it, including a few in infrared.

Power Lines And Poles

I was out by my favorite power plant last night. Instead of putting up another picture of the power plant, I decided to get some of the power poles and lines.
This was taken at an aperture of 32, for 5 minutes. I really like how it turned out.

Communication Devices

On the mountains near Point Mugu there have been communication devices. For years I've always wondered what was up there.

I was on Hueneme Road and took a picture with my 300 mm lens attached to an extender.

For the first time I can really see what's up there. Perhaps someone with better eyes can see without a zoom lens.
